DevOps Engineer

Lunchbox Technologies Inc is looking for a talented, self-starting DevOps Engineer to join NYC’s premiere restaurant ordering startup. Lunchbox is a SaaS platform specializing in building out Mobile, Web, and Kiosk digital ordering and loyalty solutions for restaurant groups.

As a member of a growing startup, you will be working very closely with each team member to execute any server-side related development and upkeep.

What We Expect From You:

• To be an engineering wizard who can ask the right questions from all teams to prevent mission critical errors

Requirements:

• Experience with CI/CD Tools – Jenkins, CircleCI, Github Actions

• Comprehensive knowledge in operating system administration, Cloud platform deployment (AWS Preferably), and networking protocols

• Working experience with Scripting Languages – Python, Ruby, Javascript, and Bash

• Experience using Serverless Containers – Cloud Run, AWS Fargate, and Lambda (AWS Preferably)

• Experience using MongoDB and Postgres, with database administration and monitoring.

• Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies

• Process-oriented with great documentation skills

Specific Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain build and deploy CI/CD pipelines using both AWS tools and other CI/CD tools, Jenkins, circleCI, Github actions, etc

• SAAS infrastructure backend/frontend deployment

• Solid Linux fundamentals and a basic understanding of Network Security – TCP/IP.

• Scripting languages – Pythons/bash/ruby & javascript

• Docker/Dockerhub

• Build out applications using ECS fargate

• Experience with Monitoring Tools such as ZABBIX, Nagios, Solar winds, Datadog, etc.

• Experience using MongoDB and Postgres, with database administration and monitoring

• VPC security and configuration

• Web application firewall

• Building and implementing load testing solutions

• Cost optimization

• Service attack surface minimization/hardening and other forms of security ops

• Implement vulnerability assessment automation

• Implement monitoring to ensure reliability and performance meets business goals

• Manage our database running on Postgres and MongoDB atlas

• Create and maintain build and deploy scripts and other automation tools

Plus:

• Experience with Kubernetes
• ElasticSearch Configuration and Scaling
