Full Job Description

Lunchbox Technologies Inc is looking for a talented self starting Quality Assurance Lead Engineer to join NYC’s newest restaurant ordering startup. Lunchbox is a SaaS platform which specializes in building out Mobile, Web and Kiosk digital ordering and loyalty solutions for restaurant groups.

As a member of a growing startup you will be working very closely with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.

– An existing backend which is integrated with multiple POS (Point-of-Sale) such as Toast, Revel, Clover as well as Square, Stripe, and Worldpay for payment processing.

Responsibilities for QA Lead Engineer
  • Document results of tests for the software development team
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Collaborate with teams to build and maintain dynamic test plans that are informed by the initiative-level test strategy.
  • Call out risks and quality concerns to product and discipline leadership when necessary and work with them to conceptualize and support implementation for improvements.
  • Owns, manages, monitors, and performs analysis, design, implements, and executes the test cases, test procedures, and test strategy.
  • Work with Engineering and Product team to build quality products and design test strategy
  • Conduct quality activities and articulate experience flows throughout the user lifecycle to communicate risk with features and releases
Qualifications for QA Lead Engineer
  • Attend product development meetings, line reviews to help identify potential quality issues and make recommendations and take decisions as needed for the business
  • Follow the plan and make necessary updates to make sure all testing protocols are being followed in a timely manner and predict any edge cases
  • Understand and research development, compliance and testing needs of all new products and platform (mobile automation)
  • Familiar with leading a scalable QA team and scoping out tickets
  • Familiar with Java
  • Familiar with Automation process (and tools Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, Zephyr, Jira )
  • Explore areas for improvement based on collected data and work with the management team to identify and implement potential solutions;
  • Create, adhere and drive timely execution of Quality Assurance / Product Integrity time and action calendar and manage all in-house and product launch testing
  • Close cooperation with dev team and product manager and product coordinator

Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret test reports, test data and technical reports.

  • Highly organized, ability to prioritize, be agile and attend to detail
