FAQ

What is Order Throttling?

Order throttling is critical to avoid locations having a backlog of orders and helps prevent a poor customer service experience when picking up food, such as: orders not ready, long lines and/or no parking. Order Throttling can also be implemented by restaurant chains that have employment and service challenges (regardless of restaurant size): if a location is unable to handle a specific amount of orders at peak business times, Order Throttling rules prevent stress on both the restaurant and subsequently its customers.

Does Lunchbox offer group ordering?

Yes. Group online ordering allows multiple people to easily order food together under the umbrella of a single order. A user creates an order, sends an invite for others to join and sets a cut-off time. Each participant can choose their own food items and even pay their bill. Your restaurants benefit from an increased reach to larger groups, cultivation of repeat business, and maintenance of loyal customers.

Best of all, there is no limit to how many rules and exceptions you can set, and they can vary across all your chain’s locations.
